CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is used in adults to manage osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease), rheumatoid arthritis (inflammatory disease of joints), ankylosing spondylitis (chronic back pain), acute pain and primary dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps).
CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is also used to manage juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (in children aged 2 years and above).
CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Celecoxib, sulfonamides, aspirin and/or other NSAIDs. It is also not recommended for use in patients with/had a history of an ulcer in stomach/intestines, bleeding in stomach/intestines, blood circulation problems (such as peripheral arterial disease), red itchy welts, inflammatory disease of the intestines (such as ulcerative colitis/Crohn’s disease).

NEW YORK — Pfizer and a new Pfizer-sponsored drug maker are expected to sign off on the same deal to buy US drugmaker CVS Caremark Inc. for $1.6 billion in cash and share, Pfizer said Tuesday.
Pfizer also will pay $2.5 billion to settle lawsuits filed by the plaintiffs who alleged that the drugmaker, which has been called “the world’s biggest maker of prescription drugs,” is colluding to influence the company’s pricing for a drug that it sells for $35 per generic copy.
The suit, filed in the U. S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, claims that Pfizer and a new company named Pfizer agreed to buy the drug from CVS for about $1.6 billion in cash and $2.5 billion in share.
“The deal for Pfizer’s rights to the drug will provide Pfizer with substantial profits for CVS,” said Steven Nissen, Pfizer’s chairman and CEO.
A Pfizer spokeswoman said Pfizer had received “no threats” from the United States government to pay for the drug. The pharmaceutical company had also been negotiating the drug to sell for less than $2 a generic copy. Pfizer, however, said the deal was for a cash price and would not reduce the drug’s market share.
In a filing last year, Pfizer said that it would pay $2.5 billion to settle allegations of improper conduct in the pharmaceutical industry by other drugmakers. It also said it would pay a “small royalty” to settle patent infringement suits filed by other drugmakers.
Pfizer had already made a $1.6 billion payment to settle the case.
